Exciting Additions to the Hedy Team
June 16, 2011 - Kathryn Berkson has joined Hedy Canada in the position of Sales Development Specialist. Having spent the last six years working in Asia and the Middle East, Kathryn, a native of Los Angeles, brings a diverse background of Sales & Marketing, Business Development, and Corporate Consulting, which will prove invaluable while supporting our distributors. Kathryn will be responsible for Sales Development in Western Canada and Ontario, with the exception of Ottawa, and will be based out of the Calgary office.
Angela Coombes has joined Hedy Canada in the position of Product Development Specialist. Angela has an honours degree in Biology and Neuroscience and has been involved in medical administration for the past three years. Her scientific background combined with her passion for success will be instrumental in maximizing the overall value our customers receive from Hedy products. Angela will be responsible for Product Development and Quality Assurance of the complete Hedy product portfolio.
Both the Sales Development Specialist and Product Development Specialist positions are newly created at Hedy as a testament to the importance that Hedy places on providing superior distributor and customer support.
Taking Steps to End Cancer
May 1, 2011 - Supporting the search for a cancer cure is a goal that has always been paramount in Hedy’s charity initiatives. This year, the company is proud to announce they are increasing their donation to cancer research organizations.

April 4, 2011 - Beginning immediately, all of Hedy's standard quarterly promotions will be featured on the new Promotions section of this website. No longer will these promotions be shrouded in obscurity, mystery and speculation. Nay! Hedy Debuts New Tradeshow Booth
March 15, 2011 - After many months of planning, designing and constructing, Hedy is proud to unveil their new 20’ booth! Attendees of the Pacific Dental Conference were invited to experience the launch of the booth firsthand, which now features extended counter space for easier access to samples, more visible promotional displays, and soft, comfortable carpeting throughout.
Free from the crowding of a 10’ booth, attendees are able discuss Hedy products with our representatives in a far more spacious area that includes a dedicated ‘glove tower’ for trying on gloves. Experience the booth for yourself at the upcoming ODA and JDQ tradeshows.

Hedy Gets Spooky for Halloween!

As Halloween cast its dark shadow over Hedy Canada, ghosts, witches, skeletons and other creepy creatures invaded our head office. Thankfully most of the staff survived, mostly due to the high quality Hedy brand gloves & masks which were used liberally to protect against everything from werewolf bites to witches brew.**
Our unwelcome visitors disappeared with barely a trace early Monday morning, leaving behind nothing but a worn-out post-it on our boardroom table with a message scrawled: "See you next year..."
A Trip to Romania
September 15, 2010 - Since 2004, Dr. Nathan Kern and his Sherbrooke Family Dental Clinic staff have traveled to the remote villages and orphanages of Romania to provide necessary dental care to people in need. They return to the same villages year after year, ensuring impoverished children and their families get the annual dental care they require – even if that means having another tooth extracted. It is because of the generosity and donations from dental companies, family and friends, and patients of Sherbrooke Family Dental that these efforts are made possible. Hedy is proud to support Dr. Kern and his staff by donating gloves to this cause. Laurentian University does the Pink Glove Dance
May 31, 2010 - To help raise awareness for breast cancer, Laurentian University's School of Social Work used Hedy Pink Light Weight Nitrile gloves to create their own pink glove dance. The fun and energetic video was done as a collaborative project in a class called “Social Work with Groups” to raise awareness for breast cancer. Great job everyone!

Hedy Canada Employee Carries Olympic Torch
January 20, 2010 - Through Royal Bank of Canada's Create-a-Better-Canada program, Hedy Employee Ryan Hildebrandt carried the Olympic Flame through Canmore, Alberta. An avid Olympic supporter, Hildebrandt said he was "thrilled and honoured to have the opportunity to be a part of something so amazing".
Hedy Canada has also been involved in the Olympic effort, donating thousands of gloves, masks and dental dams to the onsite Dental services. Over 100 dentists, assistants and hygienists will be volunteering to take care of the 6500 athletes and officials throughout the Olympic and Paralympic games.
